Hi everyone. I'm Chloe.

I'm a trans software developer from Almaty, Kazakhstan, and my pronouns are she/it/they. I'm currently studying computer science at Almaty Management University and I want to be a sysadmin!

My situation is not so fortunate, however. I was raised in a conservative town with ultra religious parents who I am very dependent upon, financially. I'm in Almaty for the next 3-5 years, which I'm very thankful for as this is a pretty progressive place compared to my hometown where I spent most of my years in. I'm also taking HRT currently.

Once I graduate however, I may be forced to move back to my hometown, where it would be a death wish to continue taking HRT or to even mention that I'm trans.

My parents don't see me as someone who can be independent. They do not value my privacy at all and they are really restrictive when it comes to where I'm allowed / not allowed to go. I got threatened with forcibly getting moved out by my mom once, and I risked losing everything I built up so far in here as a trans girl.

And they do not care that I can think for myself. If they cannot do any of that, I'd rather distance myself from these people.

Living with my parents is not how I want to spend the rest of my life. And I am planning to get away from them, as a result of the above. But to do that, I really need your help.

Unfortunately, because of the fact that I'm studying, I'm unable to go to work without sacrificing my academic performance. And because my timetable never seems to align with the jobs and internships available for someone like me.

And this is where you come in. I'm asking you to donate enough money to help me get out of my situation and escape. I know. This is a pretty big ask. If you're not able to donate, I understand. If you're able to chip in, please do so! If not, I ask of you to share this with other people who are able to. Any amount will go a long way for my survival.
