Shonabyzain's initiative to give back to society in a unique way has come a long way. Chef mentor and fashion designer Farheen aim to Mentor as many budding designers as to take up upcycling old clothes into a new avatar and give a fresh look and reduce waste. All types of clothing blankets and other related products can be recycled and may be used for many more years this project involves resources and awareness campaigns and bringing in old fabric and clothing.

So far we have trained budding designers and are currently mentoring 15 plus budding designers 7 to take up upcycling as part of their portfolios. Efforts and resources required to conduct awareness programs and conduct workshops are a task in itself and have a monetary impact.

The purpose of this zero-waste sustainability was born when a lot of used clothes which as carbon footprints are put in landfills and it make take ages before it decomposes. Creating new avatars from old can also help in emergency relief donations to severely affected people from floods earthquakes and other natural calamities.
