Ubuntu is a Bantu word that reflects the idea that we exist in context and as a reflection of our community. The person we are today is shaped by our interactions with others. It means we rise and fall together.

The spirit of Ubuntu can be best described by someone who grew up with Ubuntu in their lives. This writing provides insight from a West African perspective.
