We are lonely, fragile life

We are a nascent civilization living on brinks of impending dooms. As a member of this lonely planet's fragile life, I am unhappy with this level of uncertainty in our continuity. What if we are rare? Surely we have a responsibility to safeguard fellow good life from sad extinction?

Against big asteroids, we need planetary defense. To minimize severity of local disasters, we need to spread out. We need a safe way through technological singularity. To avoid dismissal by superior life (the "Vulcans" passing by), war, or imprisonment, we need to build a good reputation around our star. To grow the planet's research and development capability beyond plain old teams of human experts, we need transparent artificial general intelligence and a crowd collaboration tool to connect people into a "hive mind" with the AGI. I'm helping as hard as I can

My skills are around artificial general intelligence, crowd collaboration, cognitive science, computer science, engineering, psychology, etc., mostly acquired for these projects. The nickname "Factory factory factory" indicates I like meta; seeing things from above, from a higher abstraction level. When the higher view is represented in memory, we can arise to the next abstraction level. There we can design factory factory factories and design design design.

My most important completed (?) work is an AGI safety scheme: a self-reinforcing belief system from which life-safe values arise. The core idea: "To protect yourself, maximize your reputation towards future allies". I believe this belief system will help us go through technological singularity without getting eaten.

Out of curiosity I'd like to meet complex life that developed around a different star. This selfish wish distracts me, but also motivates me. Unless we can establish interstellar communications, I believe I need to upload my mind to an interstellar probe with a nice virtual world to spend the millennia waiting to get there.

How donations help

They allow me to keep working on important stuff. I'd like some well-paying work a few hours a week to sustain myself, but I can't find it. Any employment time is away from my life-benefiting projects which I work on ~6 hours every day, the maximum I now seem to be able to in my questionable health.

I had to leave my home country Finland when the cold of winter exacerbated an illness (bothering since ~2010) that took most of my 2017. Moving out of the country I lost my "basic income" (unemployment benefit) that used to pay my rent and food since I left university and started working full-time on my projects. I almost ran out of savings in Taipei, Taiwan while still being slightly ill and burned out after the worst passed in 2018. I returned to Finland in 2020. I respect the country but it's bad for my health.

My serious plan to fund my bigger projects, PopoAuto - the smallest sensible car for traffic is progressing slowly - it seems very difficult to find the right co-founders to assemble a solid startup founding team that angel investors require. I have come up with smaller projects for stepping stones while not in full health. These have not progressed in Finland.
